Pacific FC Talent ID Pathway
The Pacific FC Talent ID Pathway (former Van Isle Wave Pre-Intake Program) is intended to identify local community players who aspire to play at BCSPL (British Columbia Soccer Premier League) level. BCSPL is a standards-based development environment for girls and boys aged U14 to U18 and is positioned as the highest level of youth development community soccer within BC.
This year, the pathway aims to identify players (both male and female) in the different categories from local clubs in the Lower Island Soccer Association, strengthening the collaboration between Pacific FC and the grassroots community.
Program Overview
2013 Born Players (U13)
Identified players in this cohort will form the next Pacific FC U14 teams (female and male) that will start their BCSPL journey in September 2026.
2014 Born Players (U12)
Although this age group only starts in the BCSPL in September 2027, Pacific FC believes that by supporting the early stages of development for players in this cohort, the better prepared they will be for the BCSPL level. Some 2014-born players might be invited over the process to join the Pacific FC U14 teams even though they are a year younger; however, this is not guaranteed and only will take place if it makes sense from a technical perspective.
2015 & 2016 Born Players (U11/10)
Understanding that players in these cohorts might not yet be contemplating playing at BCSPL level, but with a focus to strengthen our partnership with local clubs in developing our community talent pool, we will identify players to join a smaller version of our Pacific FC Youth ID Program.
The Pacific FC Talent ID Pathway consists of two main streams (or programs) which are chronologically phased based on the age cohort.
